Hello,

My name is Phillip, though I'm often called Phil or Bob (IYKYK). I've recently relocated from Jacksonville, Florida, to the island of Sicily with my wife and two children, aged 10 and 2. We've been here for just over three months and have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences. Sicily boasts stunning tourist destinations like Taormina, Siracusa, Ortigia, Catania, Cefalu, among many others. It's also home to Mt. Etna, one of Europe's most active volcanoes. Over these past months, we've endeavored to experience our new home not just as tourists with fresh eyes but through the lens of locals.

While assimilating into Sicilian life, I aim to travel extensively, absorbing and learning as much as I can. I plan to chronicle our journeys and experiences so we can reminisce about the incredible things we've done and seen (which our two-year-old won't recall) and to offer lessons from my inevitable mistakes to others. In between my travels, I plan on posting some short videos or blogs about every day life here in Sicily and how I’m adapting.
